في لحظة ما، يولد الكاتب مرتين: مرة حين يفتح عينيه على هذا العالم، ومرة حين يفتح قلبه على عالم يصنعه بيده. الرواية ليست كلمات على ورق، بل وطن صغير يولد من رحم الخيال، يضم بين سطوره أوجاعنا وأحلامنا، ويمنحنا فرصة أن نحيا أكثر من حياة واحدة.
الكتابة ليست مهنة كما يظن البعض، بل طقس من طقوس النجاة. حين يضيق الواقع، يتسع الخيال، وحين يبهت الضوء، تشتعل الحروف. الكاتب الحقيقي لا يبحث عن شهرة، بل عن خلاص، عن لحظة صدق تجعله يرى نفسه بوضوح بين العبارات التي يكتبها.
يبدأ كل شيء من فكرة صغيرة، قد تولد من مشهد عابر، أو نظرة لم تكتمل، أو حلم يتكرر في الليل. الفكرة كالبذرة، تحتاج إلى تربة من الشغف وماء من الصبر وضوء من الإيمان. ومع كل كلمة تُكتب، يكبر العالم، وتبدأ الشخصيات في التنفس، وتتحول الورقة البيضاء إلى كون نابض بالحياة.
الشخصيات ليست اختراعًا، إنها انعكاس لأرواحٍ عرفناها أو تمنّينا أن نعرفها. أحيانًا يكتب الكاتب شخصياته، وأحيانًا هي التي تكتب مصيره. هناك لحظة غامضة تحدث في منتصف الكتابة، حين تفلت القصة من يد صاحبها، وتبدأ هي في قيادة الدفة. عندها فقط، تصبح الرواية كائنًا حيًا، له إرادة وعقل وصوت خاص.
أما اللغة، فهي الموسيقى التي تعزفها الروح. ليست زخارف لفظية ولا استعراضًا للجمال، بل نَفَسٌ داخلي يحمل وجع الكاتب وصدقه. الجملة الصادقة لا تحتاج إلى زينة، لأنها تلمس القلب مباشرة دون أن تستأذن.
يظن البعض أن كتابة الرواية عمل منظم يخضع لخطة محكمة، لكنها في الحقيقة تشبه الرحلة في بحرٍ بلا خريطة. أحيانًا تهب الرياح عكس الاتجاه، وأحيانًا تغرق السفينة، لكن الكاتب الذي يؤمن بعالمه يواصل الإبحار مهما اشتدّ الموج. لأن الكتابة ليست غاية، بل وسيلة للعبور من الفوضى إلى السلام.
كل رواية تُكتب هي اعتراف مبطّن، رسالة خفية إلى أحدٍ ما، أو إلى الذات التي نخاف أن نواجهها. وربما لهذا السبب، تبدو الروايات أحيانًا أقرب إلى المرايا منها إلى القصص.
وحين يضع الكاتب النقطة الأخيرة، لا يعني ذلك أن الحكاية انتهت. فكل نهاية هي بداية جديدة، والكتابة الحقيقية لا تموت؛ إنها تعيش في قلوب القراء الذين يجدون في السطور ملامحهم الضائعة.
في النهاية، يبقى فن كتابة الرواية دعوة مفتوحة لاكتشاف الإنسان فينا. لأننا حين نكتب، نحن لا نخلق عالمًا آخر فقط، بل نعيد اكتشاف هذا العالم الذي نظنه نعرفه.
ومن بين كل الحروف، يظل الخيال هو الوطن الوحيد الذي لا يُغادرنا، حتى لو أغلقت الكتب ونامت القصص.

At a certain moment, a writer is born twice: once when they open their eyes to this world, and once again when they open their heart to a world they create by hand. A novel is not mere words on paper — it is a small homeland born from the womb of imagination, sheltering our pain and dreams, offering us the gift of living more than one life.
Writing is not a profession, as some may think, but a ritual of survival. When reality narrows, imagination widens; when light fades, words ignite. A true writer does not seek fame, but redemption — a moment of truth in which they see themselves clearly between the lines they write.
Everything begins with a small spark — a fleeting scene, an unfinished glance, or a dream that insists on returning. The idea is like a seed that needs soil made of passion, water of patience, and light of faith. With each written word, the world expands, the characters begin to breathe, and the blank page turns into a living universe.
Characters are not inventions; they are reflections of souls we have known, or wished to know. Sometimes the writer writes their characters, and sometimes the characters write their destiny. There comes a mysterious moment in the middle of writing when the story escapes its author’s control and begins to lead the way. Only then does the novel become alive — a being with will, mind, and voice.
